Updates and Fixes for SGIS Desktop 1.0 and the SGIS Demo Software Version

Our team is working diligently to improve your experience with the SGIS Desktop 1.0 version, as well as the uploaded SGIS Demo version of our software.

Version 1.0 (Upcoming Release):

  • Bug Fix: The reported bug in the “Tools > Divide Polygons” function has been successfully fixed. The fix was implemented on 17.07.2023. The upcoming release containing this fix is scheduled for 17.07.2023 at 22:30 (UTC+1:00).
  • Bug Fix: Resolving Exceptional Cases During Attribute Loading with Integer Field.
  • Improved Functionality: “Edit > Attribute Fields > Edit”. The fix was implemented on 23.07.2023. The upcoming release containing this fix is scheduled for 23.07.2023 at 11:30 (UTC+1:00).
  • Improved Functionality: An improvement is made to the recognition algorithm for determining whether the layer is loaded as WGS84, or not. In cases where it is not loaded as WGS84, users can now access a wide range of available transformations for seamless conversion. The modification is made in “Save as KML>Create KML file”.
  • Improved Functionality: Upon selecting all elements using the “Select All” function, the total number of elements will be showcased in the 5th panel of the status bar.
  • The bug in “Menu > Coordinate System > Coordinate Transformation” has been successfully resolved. The bug was related to the transformation from projection to ellipsoid and vice versa, specifically in cases where it was performed without datum transformation.
  • A new functionality has been added in “Tools > Total Length” that allows you to calculate the length of lines from polyline layer. This feature works with both projected and ellipsoidal coordinates.
